CHARITY FORMED BY EX SPECIAL FORCES VETERANS SEEKING RETAIL TRADE ENQUIRIES FOR FIRST CHARITY FLAPJACK

Image

Pilgrim Bandits, the charity formed by ex-special forces veterans, that pushes injured service men and women ‘always a little further’ has launched its own range of Charity Bar flapjacks.

The bold move is the brain child of one of the Charity’s trustees, a full time police Sargent,  who worked tirelessly on the project in his spare time.   Sargent Isherwood said “I wanted to create a product that would deliver a return for the Charity for years to come.  Our hope is to sell them through our area fundraisers but also to break into the grocery and hospitality trades.”

The Charity Bar is believed to be the first of its kind and is proving popular with early orders from sports clubs, pubs and independent high street stores.  The new Charity Bars can be ordered via www.pilgrimbandits.org for a box of 25 bars in a choice of 3 flavours; original, bakewell and fudge.  Mixed boxes are also available.  Suggested retail prices are from £1.00 for a large 110g bar.  Trade enquiries are welcome too on admin@pilgrimbandits.org.

Pilgrim Bandits’ patrons include Duncan Bannatyne OBE and Ben Parkinson MBE.  The charity challenges amputees from all the forces by pulling together extremely arduous expeditions and then sharing their experiences with underprivileged children and young people.

Visit www.pilgrimbandits.org for more information or join the charity of Facebook at pilgrimbandits charity.

Commenting on both awards Andy Dukelow. “The Award for Community Contribution is a real honour – I of course am delighted to be awarded Business personality of the Year and very touched to be nominated, but the community contribution award is a wonderful accolade to the work and time dedicated to a range of great causes locally.  Thank you to everyone involved.”

NEW BLACK INDUCTION HOB

The clean lines and bevelled edge of the new Amica black induction hob provides a blend of minimalism and advanced, flexible functionality for all styles of kitchens.

Poland’s Amica is one of the most successful appliance brands in Europe, and has successfully positioned itself as one of the leading independent electrical brands in the UK.  Now, this mid-market highly spec’d brand is taking strategic strides to ensure kitchen retailers and built-in appliance retailers have another tried and trusted major appliance string to their bow.

The new induction hob detects a pan automatically on its easy-clean black glass surface.   The centre of each heating area on the new Amica PI6512TF is indicated only by a small star keeping the look clean and uncluttered.   The four zones – 2 x 22cm and 2 x 18cm – are controlled using a centrally located front flush direct-touch sensor panel. Each one of the zones has its own booster and timer to provide automatic cooking.   The slider control provides quick and smooth one-touch operation to ensure speed of operation without rotary controls or knobs which may harbour germs.

LED numbers indicate the selected power level with heating options 1-9 and an anti-burn warm setting – perfect for Christmas sauces or melting chocolate.  A child lock, minute minder and pause button provide temporary and/or instant respite from direct heat.

Additional features include:

Stop & Go function

Dimensions 57.6cm x 51.8cms

7.4 kW total power

RRP £399.
